Softball Game Preview: Jurupa Hills Spartans vs. Grand Terrace Titans

The Jurupa Hills Spartans will head out on the road to take on the Grand Terrace Titans at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Jurupa Hills has given up an average of 8 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jurupa Hills will head out to face Grand Terrace after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. The Spartans lost 11-2 to Summit. Spartans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the SkyHawks since on Friday.

Grand Terrace's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Carter on Saturday. Everything went the Titans' way against Citrus Valley as they made off with an 11-2 victory.

Grand Terrace has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Jurupa Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-8.

Jurupa Hills was able to grind out a solid victory over Grand Terrace in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 13-8. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
