Football Game Preview: Jefferson-Morgan Rockets vs. Avella Eagles + How To Watch

Jefferson-Morgan has won four straight games at home, while Avella has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Rockets will host the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Jefferson-Morgan 14.1, Avella 13.8) so any points scored will be well earned.

Jefferson-Morgan had been on a four-game streak of scoring at least 31 points, but Bentworth put an end to it on Friday. The Rockets lost 35-13 to the Bearcats. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Rockets, who until this matchup were averaging 14.13 points allowed.

Deakyn Dehoet put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 68 yards and one TD.

Having lost for the first time this season, Jefferson-Morgan fell to 7-1. As for Avella, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Everything came up roses for Jefferson-Morgan against Avella when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 54-20 victory. In that game, the Rockets amassed a halftime lead of 34-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
