Softball Recap: Puxico Takes a Loss

Puxico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Carter Redbirds. On the bright side, the nine- run effort marked the Indians' highest-scoring contest to date.

Puxico's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for East Carter, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Puxico will head out to face off against Oak Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Carter, they will venture away from home to square off against Ellington at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
