Washburn won the last time they faced Wakefield and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Washburn Castle Guards were the clear victor by a 64-44 margin over the Wakefield Cardinals. The Castle Guards have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season.

Washburn now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Wakefield, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Washburn will head out on the road to challenge Bayfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bayfield has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games. As for Wakefield, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Baraga at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st.
