Pearl's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Meridian Wildcats 3-2. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Pearl was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 17-25, 16-25, 25-16, 15-4.

Pearl's victory bumped their record up to 3-19. As for Meridian, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pearl will face off against rival Brandon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Meridian is set to challenge their familiar foe Petal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
