Edmonds-Woodway has gone 9-1 against Shorecrest recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors will host the Scots at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Edmonds-Woodway made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Sedro-Woolley, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Warriors fell just short of the Cubs by a score of 28-25 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Cubs are ranked 31st).

Edmonds-Woodway might have lost, but man, Zach Gizzi was a machine: he picked up 158 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Shorecrest after they claimed the first score on Friday, but it was Meadowdale who ended up claiming the real prize. The Scots took a 24-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mavericks. Scots fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Mavericks since Friday.

This is the second loss in a row for Edmonds-Woodway and nudges their season record down to 3-2. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only three points. As for Shorecrest, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Everything came up roses for Edmonds-Woodway against Shorecrest in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-14 win. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Scots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
