Volleyball Recap: Amelia Howison and Avery Hurley Secure Win for Colonial Heights + How To Watch

The Colonial Heights Colonials made easy work of the Hopewell Blue Devils on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Colonials.

Colonial Heights was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-5, 25-20.

Colonial Heights was led to victory by Avery Hurley and Amelia Howison. Hurley had 15 aces and one assist, while Howison had five aces. Those 15 aces gave Hurley a new career-high. Desaray Johnson also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Colonial Heights picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-5. As for Hopewell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
