Gaston Christian extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Cameron Newman. The Gaston Christian Eagles came out on top against the Asheville Christian Academy Lions by a score of 70-60 on Saturday thanks in part to Newman, who went 7-for-13 from beyond the arc on his way to 34 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Gaston Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 24 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 25-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Asheville Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 17-8 record this season.

We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Concord Academy will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Gaston Christian surely won't give up without a fight. Asheville Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
