Football Game Preview: Lawrence Tigers vs. Martin Clippers

The Lawrence Tigers will take on the Martin Clippers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lawrence has given up an average of 48.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lawrence faced off against Marcellus on Friday. The Tigers were dealt a 48-8 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 33rd).

Meanwhile, Martin strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Sacred Heart Academy 48-26. Fans of the Clippers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Lawrence's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Martin, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Lawrence was taken down by Martin 55-0 in their previous meeting back in September of 2023. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
