Baseball Recap: Legion Collegiate Academy Has No Trouble Against Palisades

After only two runs in their last matchup, Legion Collegiate Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Palisades on Tuesday. Everything went the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers' way against the Palisades Pumas as the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers made off with a 12-2 win.

Coalson Williams looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Jackson Gordon was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Tate Olney was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Legion Collegiate Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palisades only posted a batting average of .211.

The victory got Legion Collegiate Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Palisades, their record now sits at an identical 1-1.

Looking ahead, Legion Collegiate Academy will face off against St. James at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Palisades, they will challenge East Mecklenburg at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
