Winslow won the last time they faced Ganado and Gino Quinones did his part to make sure it happened again. The Bulldogs slipped by the Hornets 46-45 on Friday with plenty of help from Quinones, who rushed for 140 yards and four scores on only ten carries. He is becoming a predictor of Winslow's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 1-5 when he doesn't).

James Mendoza was another key player, rushing for 107 yards and one TD on only 14 carries. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing two fumbles and making six total tackles.

Despite the defeat, Ganado had strong showings from Jayden Curtis, who threw for 215 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Tyre Nichols, who gained 156 total yards and two touchdowns. Nichols also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making seven total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception.

Winslow's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Ganado, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-3.

Coming up, Winslow will challenge Window Rock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ganado, they will host San Carlos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves' defense has only allowed 10.9 points per game this season, so the Hornets' offense will have their work cut out for them.
