Soccer Recap: East Kentwood Takes a Loss

East Kentwood had taken West Ottawa down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Falcons fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, East Kentwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 110th, while West Ottawa are ranked 15th).

East Kentwood now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for West Ottawa, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. East Kentwood will face off against rival Hudsonville at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, West Ottawa is set to take on their familiar foe Grand Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
