Volleyball Recap: Halle Brown Key Part of Team Effort in Tigers Win

Ogden won the last time they faced St. Joseph and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Jayhawks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

In the three sets Ogden was on fire: they won each by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 20-25, 25-15, 25-8.

Ogden's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Halle Brown, who had 12 digs and three aces. Brown has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rian Barnes, who had seven digs and four aces.

They weren't the only good server: Ogden was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Ogden's record now sits at 3-1. As for St. Joseph, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-5.

Coming up, Ogden will host Judge Memorial Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Joseph, they are taking a road trip to challenge Tintic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The match will give the Jayhawks their first taste of in-conference action this season.
