Basketball Recap: Lee-Scott Academy Warriors vs. Monroe Academy Volunteers
In what's become a running theme this season, the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They breezed by Monroe Academy at home to the tune of 57-25. Given Lee-Scott Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Volunteers are ranked 239th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lee-Scott Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Riley Fields out in front who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fields has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Keesee, who scored 11 points.
Lee-Scott Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Monroe Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
Lee-Scott Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Monroe Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
