Baseball Game Preview: Pottsboro Cardinals vs. S & S Consolidated Rams

Pottsboro has gone a perfect 10-0 against S & S Consolidated recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Matthew McCullough made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over 4.2 innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he hit this season.

In other batting news, Michael Ermon was a standout: he scored a run and stole Five bases. while going 3-for-3. Those stolen bases were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Humphreys, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Pottsboro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in four consecutive games.

S & S Consolidated is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6. As for Pottsboro, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3-1.
