Soccer Recap: New Egypt Comes Up Short

New Egypt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shore Regional Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, New Egypt can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Shore Regional are ranked 134th).

New Egypt's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Shore Regional, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4-1.

Coincidentally, New Egypt and Shore Regional will both be playing Asbury Park the next time they take the pitch. The Warriors will host the Bishops at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Blue Devils will host them on Monday.
