Soccer Recap: Columbus East Takes a Loss

Columbus East lost against Seymour back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Olympians took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Owls. Columbus East have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their goal came courtesy of Hannah Weidner, who's now up to two this season.

Columbus East's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Seymour, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-10-1.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Columbus East will take on Center Grove at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Center Grove will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Columbus East surely won't give up without a fight. As for Seymour, they will square off against Jennings County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
