Softball Recap: Monroe Catholic Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Delta

Monroe Catholic faced Delta in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Rams came up short against the Huskies, falling 8-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Rams couldn't push the score so high this time.

Jaliya Rojas was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Monroe Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Delta, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-7.

While Monroe Catholic had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
