Volleyball Recap: Academy of Richmond County Picks Up Ninth Straight Win on the Road

Academy of Richmond County had won nine straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they bumped up to 7-1 to make it ten. Everything went their way against the Davidson Fine Arts Titans as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Musketeers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Harper Beckham had a dynamite game, getting four digs and four aces. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 19 or more assists the last 12 times she's played.

They weren't the only good server: Academy of Richmond County was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

As for Davidson Fine Arts, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since October 19, 2024.

Davidson Fine Arts lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Haidyn Sikes, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Academy of Richmond County will take on Harlem at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Davidson Fine Arts, they will square off against Laney at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
