Softball Recap: Ellison Eagles vs. Waco Lions
Ellison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 10-4 to the Waco Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 back in March.
Ellison's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Waco, their win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-8-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ellison will host Lake Belton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Waco, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Chaparral at 6:30 p.m. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
