Softball Recap: Aubrey Rogers Comes Up Short

Aubrey Rogers came into this matchup off a tough eight-run loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Durant Cougars by a score of 11-9 on Friday. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sophia Truchan and Sofia Ardezzone stepped up to the plate in a big way. Truchan went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Ardezzone went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciena Vangemert, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Aubrey Rogers' defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Durant, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-5.

Aubrey Rogers has already played their next game, a 7-4 loss against John Carroll Catholic on the 11th. As for Durant, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 defeat against Somerset Academy on the 11th.
