Baseball Recap: Rubidoux Takes a Loss

Rubidoux extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 7-8. They lost 15-3 to the Patriot Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 10-1 defeat on Wednesday.

Carlos Encinas was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That double was his first of the season.

As for Patriot, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-10. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Patriot's side, the team relied heavily on Noah Leon, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The Warriors are undefeated when Leon posts two or more runs, but 5-10 otherwise. Dylan Angeleri was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Coming up, Rubidoux will welcome Entrepreneur at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Patriot, they are taking a road trip to square off against La Sierra at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
