Football Recap: Harrah Panthers vs. Blanchard Lions
After soaring to 34 points the game before, Harrah was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 35-13 to the Blanchard Lions. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
Despite the loss, Harrah still got an impressive performance from Callan Whitnah, who threw for 201 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 49 yards.
Harrah didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Whitnah and Hayden Keenan.
Blanchard got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Derrick Palmer out in front who rushed for 109 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 carries. Palmer also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making eight total tackles and defending one pass. Brody Sherman was another key player, rushing for 123 yards and one score.
Harrah's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Blanchard, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.
Harrah has already played their next matchup, a 49-23 win against Tecumseh on the 3rd. As for Blanchard, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 27-26 defeat against Bethany on the 3rd.
