Providence Day has gone 8-2 against Charlotte Latin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Chargers are taking a road trip to square off against the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Providence Day sitting on ten straight wins and Charlotte Latin on seven.

Providence Day had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the six-goal drubbing they dealt Charlotte Christian on Thursday. The Chargers never let the Knights get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. Given Providence Day's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked first, while Charlotte Christian are ranked 209th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Providence Day's offense was hitting Charlotte Christian from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Lia Zimmer led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Latin got the win against Charlotte Country Day School on Thursday by a conclusive 4-0. Considering Charlotte Latin have won eight matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Providence Day's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-0-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those ten contests. As for Charlotte Latin, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.

Providence Day was able to grind out a solid victory over Charlotte Latin in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
