Volleyball Recap: Lowell Gets the Win

Lowell won the last time they faced Wheeler and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Red Devils came out on top against the Bearcats by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devils.

Lowell had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 25-20, 25-17, 25-17.

Preslee Hill paced Lowell's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hill got some help from Dafne Aguilar-Martinez and her 33 assists. Aguilar-Martinez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

The victory got Lowell back to even at 11-11. As for Wheeler, they dropped their record down to 18-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Lowell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Hanover Central on the 9th. As for Wheeler, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Westville at 6:30 p.m.
