How to watch: Five-star quarterback Jared Curtis and Nashville Christian playing for state title

In the middle of recruiting battle between Georgia and Vanderbilt, No. 1 player in the Class of 2026 looks to cap career with back-to-back titles.

Jared Curtis of Nashville Christian (Nashville) will play for his second straight Division II Class A state championship Thursday in Tennessee against University School of Jackson (Jackson).

Curtis is the No. 1 player in the Class of 2026 according to 247Sports and a current Georgia commit. 

In the semifinals, Curtis threw for three touchdowns and ran for another in a 41-7 victory. On the season he has passed for 31 touchdowns while running for 10 more.

Nashville Christian has won 22 straight games and reached three state championship games under Curtis. In his career he has 9,528 yards and 123 touchdowns through the air. With his legs he has another 2,199 yards and 48 touchdowns.

Curtis burst on to the scene as a freshman in 2022 by passing for five touchdowns and running for another in the state semifinals. The Eagles lost in the title game that year.



The Eagles won state in 2024 as Curtis ran for four touchdowns and passed for two more in a 49-21 victory.

Curtis originally committed to Georgia in March 2024 before reopening his recruitment seven months later. In May of this year, he once again committed to the Bulldogs.

Recent reports indicate he may be on the verge of flipping his commitment to Vanderbilt, which was ranked in the AP Top 10 this season for the first time since 1947.
