Basketball Recap: Meek Takes a Loss

Meek lost against Winston County two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Meek Tigers fell 47-40 to the Winston County Yellowjackets.

Lynleigh Cobb continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Winston County, almost dropping a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ellie Veal, who posted seven points.

Meek has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for Winston County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meek will square off against Hanceville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Winston County, they will take on Phillips at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
