Basketball Game Preview: Keystone Wildcats vs. Medina Christian Academy Knights

The Keystone Wildcats and the Medina Christian Academy Knights will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Keystone's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.

Keystone is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Black River 96-47. The Wildcats' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Keystone's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Colt Cowling, who went 10 for 16 on his way to 25 points in addition to five boards and four steals, and Liam Goran, who went 8 of 12 en route to 21 points along with six assists and four steals. The contest was Goran's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Shackelfod, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 13 points.

Meanwhile, Medina Christian Academy ended up a good deal behind Lake Center Christian on Friday and lost 62-47. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 681st, while the Tiger are ranked 294th).

Medina Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Keystone, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.
