Baseball Game Preview: Wilson Mules vs. South Gate Rams

Wilson hasn't had much luck against South Gate recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Wilson Mules will head out on the road to square off against the South Gate Rams at 3:00 p.m. Wilson will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Wilson's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave last Saturday, when they got past Vaughn's usually-dominant pitching crew. Wilson put the hurt on Vaughn with a sharp 10-3 win.

Aiden Diaz looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, Angel Covarrubias was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Adrian Anaya was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, South Gate was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 9-1 to Glenn. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Gate now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Wilson, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Wilson couldn't quite get it done against South Gate in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 as they fell 9-5. Can Wilson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
