Football Recap: Crest Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Crest was riding high fresh off their 55-12 takedown of Asheville last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chargers came up short against the Weddington Warriors on Friday, falling 31-10. The Chargers were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the three games prior), but the Warriors' defense proved too tough.

Ely Hamrick threw for 115 yards and one touchdown. Namajay Thompson was his top target, picking up 50 receiving yards and one score.

Crest's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Weddington, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Crest and Weddington will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Chargers are set to square off against their familiar foe Forestview at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th. Meanwhile, Weddington will take on rival Charlotte Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
