On the hitting side, Leslie County got a big performance out of Autumn Roberts, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Royce Osborne, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Leslie County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Perry County Central's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Leslie County, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Leslie County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Perry County Central has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .473. It's a different story for Leslie County, though, as they've only averaged .280. Will they be able to contain Perry County Central's hitters?
Everything went Perry County Central's way against Leslie County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Perry County Central made off with a 15-0 win.
