Basketball Recap: Trinity Comes Up Short

Trinity has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They received a blow on Saturday as they fell 55-37 to the Providence Catholic Celtics. The Blazers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Celtics earlier this season, when they won 72-65.

Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 20-10. As for Providence Catholic, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-11.

Trinity and Providence Catholic should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Trinity (ranked 61st) will meet Payton College Prep (ranked 414th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Providence Catholic will square off against Joliet Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 271 places (76 vs. 347).
