Tuesday just wasn't the day for Newton County's offense. They came up short against the South Panola Tigers on Tuesday, falling 8-0. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Newton County's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for South Panola, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Coincidentally, Newton County and South Panola will both be playing Ocean Springs the next time they take the field. South Panola will host Ocean Springs at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while Newton County will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
