Football Recap: Clinton Central Takes a Loss

Clinton Central extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-3. They took a blow against the Taylor Titans, falling 47-8. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-0.

When it comes to explaining why Clinton Central lost, don't look at Amrin Barrett. Despite the final result, he rushed for 80 yards and one touchdown.

As for Taylor, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 3-1 Eastern (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 57.5% over those games).

Javionne Harris produced another solid effort rushing for 242 yards and four TDs on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 158 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 passes. Harris is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 124 every time he's taken the field this season. Keyshawn Galloway was in the mix as well, providing Taylor with two scores.
