Volleyball Recap: Fuquay - Varina Comes Up Short

The Fuquay - Varina Bengals came up short against the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-10, 25-11.

Cardinal Gibbons can attribute much of their success to Player #9, who had 11 digs and four aces. Player #9 is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Fuquay - Varina's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Cardinal Gibbons, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

Fuquay - Varina does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they will square off against Cape Fear at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
