Baseball Recap: Maine East Comes Up Short

Maine East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. They came up short against the Niles North Vikings, falling 18-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss on Tuesday.

Maine East's defeat dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Niles North, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-16-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maine East will welcome Payton College Prep at 10:00 a.m. on the 24th. As for Niles North, they will host Glenbrook North at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
