Soccer Recap: Horizon Comes Up Short

Horizon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Parkland Matadors. The Scorpions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Matadors earlier this season, when they won 2-2.

Horizon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Parkland, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 8-8.

Coincidentally, Horizon and Parkland will both be playing Hanks the next time they take the pitch. Horizon will host Hanks at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while Parkland will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
