Softball Recap: Dobyns-Bennett Indians vs. Marshall County Tigers

It was a good run, but Dobyns-Bennett unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Marshall County Tigers by a score of 5-3.

For Marshall County's part, Courtney Lynch made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (she also only allowed one walk). Lynch was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with a triple and an RBI.

In other batting news, Anna Stewart was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Dobyns-Bennett fell to 4-1. As for Marshall County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.
