Softball Recap: Southside Takes a Loss

Southside suffered their biggest loss since March 7th on Tuesday. They lost 13-3 to the Springville Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-1 loss back in February.

Rylann Shaw made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played.

Southside's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Springville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 34-3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southside will face off against Oxford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Springville, they will venture away from home to face off against Corner at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
