Softball Recap: Elmwood/Plum City's Losing Streak Snapped at 13 Games

Elmwood/Plum City had to endure a 13-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Owen-Withee Blackhawks 17-2 on Thursday. The Wolves not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 4th (when they won 15-0).

Addison Ingli was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Fesenmaier, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Elmwood/Plum City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive matchups.

Elmwood/Plum City's win bumped their record up to 6-18. As for Owen-Withee, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

As of now, neither Elmwood/Plum City nor the Blackhawks have any future games scheduled.
