Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Valley Athletes for Christ). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Mission Heights Prep Phantoms 82-30. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Phantoms are ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Anthony Sorensen was nothing short of spectacular: he went 8 for 13 en route to 21 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals. Michael Sorensen was another key player, going 7 of 12 on his way to 19 points.

East Valley Athletes for Christ smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in five consecutive matchups.
