Meadowbrook entered their tilt with Philo on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Electrics by a score of 5-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 back in March.

McKendall Boyer made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Boyer wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ryleigh Davis, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Davis has hit this season.

Meadowbrook's victory bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Philo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meadowbrook will host Indian Valley on Saturday. As for Philo, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Newcomerstown at 11:00 a.m. The Electrics' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
