Volleyball Recap: Manatee Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Manatee can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Lakewood Ranch Mustangs on Tuesday. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-18, 25-15.

Leading Lakewood Ranch to victory were Julia Vendramini and Mariana Alvarez. Vendramini had 22 assists, while Alvarez had five digs. Vendramini has been hot, having posted 13 or more assists the last six times she's played.

Manatee's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Lakewood Ranch, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Manatee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakewood Ranch, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Parrish Community on the 16th.
