Softball Recap: Alleman Pioneers vs. LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers
Alleman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers, falling 14-4. If the Pioneers were looking for revenge after losing 6-5 to the Cavaliers when the teams met back in May of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Lyla Possin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alysa Brinkman, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.
Alleman's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for LaSalle-Peru, the win (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 23-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alleman will challenge Quincy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for LaSalle-Peru, they will face off against Sycamore at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
