Baseball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Homer-Center Wildcats. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Caden Vresilovic was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Zeke Doak, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.

River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Homer-Center, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

While River Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
