Softball Game Preview: Tolsia Rebels vs. Sherman Tide

The Tolsia Rebels will challenge the Sherman Tide at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Tolsia will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating St. Joseph Central, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Rebels walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Irish on Thursday.

Kalynn Salmons spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Bailee Belt was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those doubles marked the first that she hit this season. Carly Johnson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Sherman ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past Midland Trail 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Tide, who have now won four games in a row.

Sherman's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Tolsia, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
