Softball Recap: Abingdon Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Abingdon couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Turner Ashby Knights by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Abingdon saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brenna Green, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Alyssa Lindsay was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Abingdon's loss dropped their record down to 23-5. As for Turner Ashby, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Abingdon nor Turner Ashby have any future games scheduled.
