Softball Game Preview: Westridge Tigers vs. Flintridge Prep Wolves

The Westridge Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Flintridge Prep Wolves at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Westridge has given up an average of 10.4 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Westridge came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Polytechnic, falling 19-1. The Tigers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Westridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Penelope De Csepel, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Flintridge Prep hadn't done well against Providence recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Wolves came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 10-5.

Westridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for Flintridge Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Westridge might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Flintridge Prep when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
