Preview: Webber Trojans vs. Sandoval Blackhawks
The Webber Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sandoval Blackhawks at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Webber will be strutting in after a win while the Blackhawks will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, Webber earned a 39-31 victory over the. The victory was just what Webber needed coming off of a 52-13 loss in their prior matchup.
Webber's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chloe King, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Shayla Brumley was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Sandoval came up short against the Bobcats on Tuesday and fell 57-46. Sandoval has not had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Webber's victory ended a 17-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-22. As for Sandoval, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season.
