Basketball Recap: Pilot Point Bearcats vs. Bonham Warriors
After flying high against S & S Consolidated last Tuesday, Pilot Point came back down to earth. The Pilot Point Bearcats fell to the Bonham Warriors 47-43. The Bearcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2017.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bonham to victory, but perhaps none more so than Heath Brown, who went 6 for 10 en route to 13 points plus two steals. Dj Stewart was another key player, scoring 15 points along with two steals.
Pilot Point's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bonham, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-2.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Tom Bean the next time they take the court. Pilot Point will head out to face Tom Bean at 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, while Bonham will host them at 10:20 a.m. on Saturday.
